ByWellCare (“we,” “us,” or “our”) runs bywellcare.com (the “Site”). The Site is written by Sister UNICE in Maryland, USA. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, who collects it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us. If you leave a comment, send a message through our contact form, or sign up for our newsletter, we receive what you type in — usually your name and email address, and the message itself.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site and the services it uses collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site that sent you here. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies and the third parties that use them

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. The following services run on the Site and may set or read cookies:

  • Google AdSense (advertising). Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • Google Analytics (visitor statistics). We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are read most. It uses cookies and collects information like the pages you visit and your approximate location. You can prevent this with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Jetpack (site statistics and security), a service of Automattic Inc., which records visits to help us run and protect the Site.
  • Affiliate programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Some links on the Site are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer (for example, Amazon) may set cookies to track that the visit came from our Site. Third parties, including Amazon, may serve content and advertisements, collect information directly from visitors, and place or recognize cookies on your browser.
  • Forms and email: WPForms (contact form) and OptinMonster (newsletter sign-up). We use what you submit only to reply to you or to send the emails you asked for.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the Site may not work as intended if you do.

Your choices about personalized ads

  • Everyone: use Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info to turn off personalized ads.
  • Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland: where the law requires consent, you will be asked through Google’s consent message before personalized ads and non-essential cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time.
  • U.S. state privacy rights (for example, California): we do not sell your personal information for money. Showing personalized ads through Google may count as “sharing” under some state laws. You can opt out through Google Ads Settings, by using a browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal, or by emailing us at bywellcare@gmail.com. You may also ask to see, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.

How we use information

To run and improve the Site, answer your messages, show comments, send newsletters you signed up for, understand which articles are useful, and show advertising that keeps the Site free.

How long we keep it

Comments stay until you ask us to remove them. Contact messages and newsletter subscriptions are kept until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe (every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link). Statistics are kept in aggregated form.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

The Site links to other websites, including government sources and stores. Their privacy practices are their own; please read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Site or the services it uses change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
